Footers -- Page Two

 

Here are more photos of footer construction.

 

In this photo, you see one long footer -- this is the side of the house along the driveway.  Note that the rebar runs continuously through the trench and rebar coming from adjoining trenches is tied with tie wires.

In this photo, the rebar has not been tied completely.  Note the intersecting pieces of rebar about 1/3 of the way up the trench -- these have been tied and set on cradles.  The rest of the rebar has not yet been cradled or tied.  Note the guide pins positioned up the trench -- concrete will be poured to this depth.
