On 6 June 2009, my son -- Joe, III -- and daughter -- Stephanie -- came down and helped install the joists on which the ramp will be installed.  Could NOT have done this without them.  Joe cut the joists, which required a difficult angular calculation where the joists joined the porch, the landing, and the sidewalk.

For those not familiar with construction terms, the joists are those long pieces of lumber running from the porch (on the left of this photo) to the square landing in the lawn and then toward the camera, ending on the sidewalk.
