Here's what happened today:

•  Finished the decking
•  Slapped together a piece where the ramp hits the sidewalk.  More on this later.
•  Installed a custom-designed, custom-engineered handrail.
•  Ordered the permanent handrail

Here are pictures -- note the handrail by Redneck Engineering, Inc.

I'm going to order two aluminum ramp thresholds.  These are 34 inches wide, the ramp is 63 -- so -- they will be too wide but I'll take them to a metal fabricator and have them cut to the same width as the ramp.  Then, I'll clean up the end of the ramp on the sidewalk and install these thresholds:
