A Phishing Scam
Disguised as a PayPal Contact
Here's a phishing scam that is disguised as a PayPal contact -- I received
this as an e-mail message. If I were to believe this, PayPal wants me to
verify my account information. Nonsense -- PayPal does not send such
messages -- this is a scam. If you see anything such as this, delete it.
If you want to read more, go to the PayPal website and read their security
section.
How do I know this is a scam:
- PayPal will not send an e-mail addressed to "PayPal Member."
If PayPal contacts you, they will do so using the user ID you have on the
PayPal system.
